Sweet. A little face/head but a huge rear foot.
That's gonna be a big dog...
#1 son's 2nd golden retriever has just turned 1.
1st dog died at 12 or 13. He wouldn't retrieve anything - just play tug.
New dog couldn't care less about tug, but loves retieving balls.

Re: Chicago PDML meetup

2016-11-03 Thread Bob Sullivan
John,
After a 108 year drought, the Chicago Cubs baseball team won the world
series last night (early this AM, actually).
They just announced the parade for the winners will be Friday...
You and 500,000+ Cubs baseball team fans will be in the city center to
cheer the winners.
We might need to make some arrangements.
Regards, Bob S.

Tips for Fans
Here are some tips for the fans who want to attend the Chicago Cubs
championship parade:
this is the first time in over one century that there will be a parade, so
if you haven’t already,
expect a mammoth crowd out there. People will most likely camp overnight to
get a good spot,
so get there as early as you can. It’s likely to be a sunny day, but
slightly chilly, so wear
whatever you are comfortable in, but bring a jacket just in case.

Re: What it the name of Pentax is Vegan Leather?

2016-07-12 Thread Bob Sullivan
45 years ago we watched a 'Saturday Night Live' skit with John Belushi
on how they
raised, slaughtered, skinned, and tanned Naugahyde. Very funny.
The ranch was probably in Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Paul,
It's a touching story and so sad for you.
You've had a tough year. I hope the next will be better.
And keep in touch with your family, you'll need them.

Re: GESO -- Where's the fire?

2016-07-09 Thread Bob Sullivan
If you get a real blaze, a grocery store will make a huge fire.
I remember a store some 6-8 blocks away that caught fire in my childhood.
It was a huge blaze, fully involving the store, and making quite a spectacle.
(The roof burns first, spreading it all over.)
