Which 28-to 105 To get
How does the new Pentax 28 to 105 f3.2-4.5 compare to the old power zoom version? How well does the old power zoom balance on the new ZX style bodies? Looking for a 300mm cheap
I need a long lens but do not want to spend a how lot of maony. I want something fairly sharp. It does not need to be a fast lens as I will be using a tripod. Thanks in advanced for all recommandations. Jim Fellows
Re: Meteor time again
Any suggestions on shooting them (with a Pentax of course) I have ME Super, A Super Program and a K-1000. For lenses I have a 24mm 2.8 (Sigma) 28 M 2.8, 35 M f2.8, 50A f1.7, 135 M3.5 and A 2.8. I also have some zooms but I don't think they would work to well. What kind of film is good for something like this? What f stop and length of exposure is best? I do have a locking cable release. I had no intention of "ripping off" anybody. I was going to use some parts off of the camera to clean up mine and only through batteries in to see if the meter worked. ME Super acting strange
I was at my local camera shop dropping off my 35mm f2.8 M series lens to have the diarphram cleaned, as it is very sluggish. I was checking out the used gear when a woman came in with an ME-S that the shutter whould not trip. Yoou could use the advance lever but the shutter would not fire and the mirror had been stuck up. The owner agreed that the shutter was damaged and he did not offer repairs for the camaer. She decided to buy a K-1000 from the used case to use with her lenses. I offred to buy the the ME-S from here (plus the everready case) for $25.00 US to use as parts for my ME-S that looks a bit tatered. The meter did not work but I did not really care about that. I brought the camera home and through a set of batteries in it to see if ht old ones were dead and if the meter worked. Low and behold the cmera workd great. All the shutter speeds seam to work well and the meter is also working. I always thaough that the ME-S would fire at 1/125 of a second with out betteries. My old one does. I did get a bargin. Re: Light Table
Depending on how big of one you want, try printing or pre press companies. Wit computer to plate technology being used, many shops are willing to give away many of there old light tables. Re: ZX-L
While the interface is different, the ZX-L has all the features of the ZX-5n, with the possible exception of center weight metering, plus a bunch of new stuff, including some interesting flash options with the new AS 360Z flash, higher shutter speed, remote control, multiple exposure. Re: ZX-L
I went to the Pentax USA web site to see if they had a brochure to down load on the ZX-L, no luck, I was able to down the manual and the camera is pretty impressive. I also down loaded abrochure on Pentax's entire film camera line, and the ZX-5n was not listed. Looks like the ZX-5n is on the way out, replaced by the ZX-L. Re: 6x7 repair cost
I live about 15 minuets from Apex up in New Hampshire, they are an authorized Pentax repair facility. They wont touch much of anything in the 35mm world for much under $200.00. That usually includes a full CLA, plus replacement of any needed parts within reason. Anything they can't handle goes to Pentax in Colorado. They also don't usually work on anything unless they know parts are available. RE: Z-5 vs. PZ-1
I have a chance to pick one up for about $200.00. It seems to be in good condition. I was hoping to have some insight on how it works. It looks like a PZ-1 but with a top plate and bottom plate that is silver. Which could be the reason that you can't find an English manual for the camera for the camera. Darryl [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > I have checked Boz's sight and these to bodies are very similar.
