LX/circular or linear polarizer
It¹s slipped my mind . . . Does the metering system in my LX require the use of a circular polarizer or will a linear one work nicely. Thanks, RW
Tokina 800mm F8 screwmount
Does anyone have experience with the 800mm F8 screwmount? I could use it with the adapter on my K-mount cameras for wildlife, if it is sharp enough. I make 8x10s, 11X14s, occasional 16X20s. I might be a lot better off to get Pentax¹s 1,000mm SMC F8, even though it will cost a lot more. RW

8mm Sigma fisheye/exposure
Just picked up a used 8mm Sigma F4 fisheye. I suspect that because a circular image is produced in the middle of the neg and no light reaches the edges of the neg, I must deviate from in-camera light meter readings (using LX, ME Super, MZ5-N)??? Perhaps, the best bet is to shoot a roll of film and bracket the exposures to determine how much compensation is required . . . or use a hand-held light meter. RW
fish-eyes: Sigma or Zenitar?
I¹m pondering buying a not-too-costly fish-eye lens as it will not be used a great deal. However, I would like something capable of producing sharp 8X10-inch prints and, once in a while, an 11X14. Does anybody know how good the Sigma F2.8 multicoated Sigma XQ filtermatic lens is? I believe it¹s a 1980s lens. Perhaps, I¹d be just as well off to buy a new Russian Zenitar lens??? Does anybody have experience with either of these lenses? Thanks, RW
35mm F4 schneider radiogon
I picked up an interesting lens in beautiful condition on eBay a 35mm F4 Schneider Radiogon preset screw-mount lens. I suspect it was made in the early ¹60s, but that¹s a guess as I haven¹t been able to find out much about it, other than it¹s fairly rare. At any rate, it will be interesting to use this lens on my Spotmatic, although I haven¹t a clue how sharp it is. Does anybody know anything about this lens, its optical performance, etc.??? RW
Tokina 24 F2.8
I notice there is a Tokina 24mm F2.8 lens for sale on eBay. With under three days left, it¹s at $75 US. I have one of these lenses and it¹s very, very sharp. Tamron SP 200-500 F5.6 lens
I¹m not sure how my Tamron SP 200-500 F5.6 lens stacks up against some of the other longer zooms being mentioned, but I¹ve been happy with mine. Manual focus and only available used, it¹s big and heavy a solid tripod is a necessity. I hope to use it plenty this summer as I¹ve had it less than a year, but negs from nature shots taken last fall seemed quite decent with an 8-times lupe. Tripod collar/K 300 F4
Does anyone know if someone manufactures a tripod collar that would fit my old Pentax K 300 F4? This is a big, heavy lens that I like optically but find extremely difficult to use on a tripod.
