FSF one day late - whole bunch of gear

2016-06-04 Thread Boris Liberman
Hi!

Still not in any rush. Here is a bunch of gear you can buy from me:

1. Pentax K-5 with OEM battery grip, magnifying eye piece and extra
OEM battery.
2. Metz 50 AF-1 flash unit
3. Sigma 17-70/2.8-4.5 (original, not SDM version)
4. Sigma 24-60/2.8 (full frame, affordable fast zoom for your K-1)
5. Ricoh GXR body, 28mm AF module, external EVF

Make me an offer. I don't stand to make profit from this gear, but I
wouldn't want to put it on eek bay...

Free For Shipping Friday (day late)

2013-02-16 Thread Mark C
This stuff is free for shipping, preferably in USPS flat rate priority
boxes. First come first serve. Obviously, everything is AS_IS and no
returns. Please contact me off list a mcass...@chartermi.net if interested.

Screw Mount Gear:

- Practika V F: good cosmetic condition. Shutter fires. It is in an ever
ready camera case that is scuffed up and has a broken strap. No lens.

- Three sets of screw mount auto extension tubes. Seem to be fine. One
Samigon (in box), one Haminex and one not labelled (both un boxed.)

- Spiratone Rapid Rail Macrobel Bellows for screw mount. Look like they
have never been used. I partially extended them and see no obvious rips,
tears or holes but will need to be tested. Double rail design. In
original box and with a handy guide to exposure adjustment.

- One single rail Kopil bellows unit. No box. No obvious rips, tears or
holes, but will need to be tested. Folds up nice and compact.

- Lentar Slide Duplicator: Looks like it was never used. A black tube
with a lens an mount for slides. When a FF Pentax comes along you can
use this and a screw mount adapter for a slide scanner.

- Ever ready case for Spotmatic - black leather, good condition, has the
Eye-Ball, Crown AP (Asahi Pentax) logo as a metal pin on it.

K Mount Stuff:

-PZ-1P 35mm film camera. For parts or repair. Shutter sticks. I checked
with both Pentax and Erik and there are no replacement parts available.
Can't be repaired unless you have a spare shutter. Would be a good
source of other parts.

- ME Super: Parts or repair. Locked up dead - mirror up, unresponsive.

-- Focusing Screen M SD-11 (I think for an LX?) Plain cross hair in the
middle. For astro work. In case with tweezers, original box.

- PZ-1p Cable Release: 2 of these. Tested them and they work.

Other Stuff

Canonet QL17: Parts or repair. Nice cosmetic condition including a 38mm
screw on lens cap and strap. Is dead, though.

Ricoh Telerikenon 100mm f2.8 C Mount lens: Big hunk of glass. I bought
this by mistake years ago (thought it was a screw mount lens.)

For sale (one day late, prices lowered): FA 20/2.8 and K-5 with Canon eeS focusing screen

2013-02-15 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

1. K-5:

I'm the second owner having bought it from a fellow from PentaxForums.
It comes with magnifying eye cap and that special Canon eeS focusing
screen that has been shimmed to correct position. The screen has no
marks whatsoever (except some dust and machining marks on the borders).
The focus pop is very good and I could use it with A 50/1.2. The problem
is that my eyes still tire too fast for me to make it comfortable. Also
this screen, unlike the stock one is more sensitive to the lens speed.
If you mostly shoot with kit lenses or slow lenses, I wouldn't recommend
you buy the camera, because the viewfinder will look rather dark.

Shutter count is approx 10K.

Cosmetically it is in very good shape with few exceptions:

1. I have applied the rear screen protective film having discovered that
the frames of my glasses scratches it. Nothing major but the rear screen
is not 100% clean of scratches. Looked at it few times - couldn't find
any dust beneath the screen though...

2. There is very minor bit of plastic (3 x 2 mm) that chipped off
approximate 1 cm to the left from the HDMI/PC AV/DC IN cover. I will
photograph it and provide the picture on demand.

I will include the original focusing screen. I will try to find the
original eyepiece. I may have no suitable camera strap for it but I will
look too. The original box is there.

Asking USD 625 which includes shipping and paypal fees. I will ship it
by EMS insured at full value.

Oh, and by the way the little plastic piece that covers the flash shoe
is in place :-).

2. FA 20/2.8. Recently it had a focus jam, that was fully repaired by
Pentax Israel. They replaced some parts in the mechanism and now it
operates as it used to - with slight change of resistance towards 0.4
mark on the focusing ring. I took few shots with it after the repairs
and AF is both fast and accurate. The repairs are covered by half a year
warranty by Pentax Israel. I am not certain if it can be claimed abroad.

Full review of this very lens is here:
http://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/pentax-fa-20mm-f28/review.html

Asking USD 625 which also includes shipping and paypal fees. Shipping by
EMS insured at full value.

Please contact me off-list.

Thanks.

Gearhead news and ForSale ad one day late

2013-02-02 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

The Flektogon 50/4 with tilt adapter has been sold along with Metz 40
MZ2 flash unit. Instead I bought Metz 50 AF-1 which is perfectly fine
and having tried all its functions I should say - I am impressed. It all
works reliably and as advertised in the manual.

After much thought and deliberation I have decided to sell my K-5. I'm
the second owner having bought it from a fellow from PentaxForums. It
comes with magnifying eye cap and that special Canon eeS (if I am not
mistaken) focusing screen that has been shimmed to correct position. The
screen has no marks whatsoever (except some dust and machining marks on
the borders). The focus pop is very good and I could use it with A
50/1.2. The problem is that my eyes still tire too fast for me to make
it comfortable. Also this screen, unlike the stock one is more sensitive
to the lens speed. If you mostly shoot with kit lenses or slow lenses, I
wouldn't recommend you buy the camera, because the viewfinder will look
rather dark.

I've just checked the shutter count with PhotoME. It says 9887. I made
several shots today testing the flash. So let's say it is just below 10K
actuations.

Cosmetically it is in very good shape with few exceptions:

1. I have applied the rear screen protective film having discovered that
the frames of my glasses scratches it. Nothing major but the rear screen
is not 100% clean of scratches. Looked at it few times - couldn't find

original eyepiece. I may have no suitable camera strap for it but I will

Asking USD 650 which includes both shipping and paypal charges. I will
ship it by EMS insured at full value.

Oh, and by the way the little plastic piece that covers the flash shoe
is in place :-).

Also you can still buy an FA 20/2.8 for USD 650 which I advertised few
times before. If you decide to buy both, I will combine shipping hence
it will cost less.

Please contact me off the list if you're interested.

For sale, one day late - CZJ MC Flektogon 50/4 + Tilt adaptor

2012-08-11 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

Although I was quite excited about this buy some time ago, it is big, it
is heavy and it requires manual focusing while my eyes are getting
progressively weak :-(.

So, offering for sale - Carl Zeiss Jena MC Flektogon 50/4 with Tilt
Adapter. Few points about this combo:

1. You get lens front cap, K-mount rear cap and Pentacon-6 (I recon it
is originally Pentacon 6 lens) rear cap. I don't seem to find a front
cap for the adapter as the lens came attached to it.

2. The piece of material that has the tilt angles on it is falling off.
If you have proper glue you can easily glue it in place. Obviously it
does not have any effect on the operations. By the way adapter goes up
to 8 deg of tilt. You can rotate the tilted lens with clicks every 15
deg of rotation.

3. The lens aperture (which as I was told is a weak part of these
lenses) in perfect order - snappy without any signs of any trouble
whatsoever.

4. The lens is free of dust except the space immediately after the front
element. There is certain amount of dust that as I understand is the
blackening coating of the inner side of the lens barrel. It does seem
moderate and I did not find any issues with it.

5. Optically this lens is very good with surprising micro contrast and
very pleasant rendering but given its huge front element you wouldn't
want to shoot with light sources in front of you. Few times I noticed
that the center part of the frame was brighter than the rest which I
attribute to the reflections off the camera sensor.

6. Asking USD 300 plus shipping. I will absorb PayPal fees (about 5%). I
can ship either EMS (which I'd prefer for its insurance and speed) or
regular air mail. The latter is like USD 15 or even less but without
tracking and insurance. Given rather heavy item, I expect EMS to cost
order of USD 40.

Please contact me off list if you're interested and require more
information/shots about/of/by this lens.

Thanks.

One day late ForSale post

2011-01-22 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

Missed Friday by one day, as I often do. Three lenses are offered at
this time:

1. Pentax SMC FAJ 18-35/4-5.6. Having both DA 21 and FA 20/2.8 I don't
seem to have any use for this one.

2. Pentax SMC FA 24-90/3.5-4.5. Bought it from a fellow list member, but
Sigma 24-60/2.8 finds way more use than this one. No need to hold on to
something that I am unlikely to put to use.

3. Tamron 28-75/2.8. This one I am awaiting a final word from a fellow
list member for, but if they pass, it might be yours. Bought it from yet
another fellow list member (former, as far as I can tell, sadly). This
one is a good sample, again Sigma 24-60/2.8 pushed this one out of
active duty mainly because of its wider wide end of the zoom range.

If you're interested, please contact me off the list.

Sorry for being late.

FS Friday (A day late)

2007-01-06 Thread Adam Maas
All prices in Canadian, plus shipping. I can only take money orders at
the moment.

Kit #1.
K100D with less than 2000 shots on the clock. This is probably the best
6MP body on the market today, with in-body stabilization, the best
viewfinder short of the D80 or K10D, excellent image quality, ISO 3200
and an 11 point AF unit that actually works decently in low light.
Meters and does SR with anything you can mount on the front of it.$660
new at CameraCanada.com

It also comes with:

Pentax SMC-DA 16-45 f4 AL lens. Fixed f4, extremely sharp, full-time
manual focus (Like USM lenses), hood (with removable cutout for
adjusting polarizers), 24-70 equivalent, making it the widest general
purpose zoom for digital cameras. Lens is like new. $377 new at
CameraCanada.com

SMC-A 70-210 f4. Classic and superb manual focus zoom. SMC-A mount
allows all exposure modes and metering modes, only AF and focal-length
communication is lost (You can manually enter focal length for SR).
Sharp as all heck and handles well. Lens has cosmetic wear but mint
glass. Approx $200 value.

SMC-A 50mm f1.7. Sharpest Pentax 50, SMC-A mount allows all exposure
modes and metering modes, only AF and focal-length communication is lost
(You can manually enter focal length for SR). Flat field design, can do
excellent macro work with the addition of extension tubes. Approx $100
value.

Vivitar 300mm f5.6 K mount modified to a preset lens. Decent 300 prime,
only meters correctly on the DSLR's as the aperture coupling and
stop-down levers have been removed. Like all pre-A lenses it will work
in Av and M modes on the K100D. Approx Value $25 (due to mods)

Takumar-A 2x TC. Works with all K mount lenses, preserves metering and
program modes with all A or later lenses, but not AF or focal length
information. Approx $75 Value

Remote Control F. IR remote for all Pentax cameras which support IR
remotes(including All Pentax DSLR's). $25 value

Henry's M42-Screwmount Adaptor. Preserves infinity focus, takes all M42
lenses. Works on Film and Digital K mount bodies. $25 value

K mount-52mm reverse adaptor. Do macro with a reverse 50mm lens. Works
nicely. meter couples with film bodies and works as a pre-A lens on
digital. Approx value $5

49mm-52mm step-up ring. Allows standard pentax primes to mount on the
reverse adaptor since most Pentax primes are 49mm filter size, not 52mm.
Approx value $5

Chinon CP-6 Spot K mount film body. Just in case you want to try that
wierd coated gelatin sensor. Program, aperture priority and manual modes
with averaging and spot metering. Approx value $20, so I'm throwing it in.

Also includes boxes for the K100D and 16-45, with all manuals and other
items normally including in the box (Software, cables, accessories).
K100D has almost-new Lithium AA's with less than 100 shots on them, good
for another 600-800 or so. CP-6 has 3xAAA alkalines's which cannot be
guaranteed (Can't remember how new they are).

Kit cost to you: $1000.

Kit #2

Pentax MZ-5n. Traditional interface on a good little AF body. Shutter
speeds to 1/2000, 1/100 sync, 2fps winder, matrix, centre-weighted and
spot metering. Traditional shutter speed dial, good viewfinder. Comes with:

Kiron 28mm f2 K mount lens. Fast, sharp 28mm wide.

SMC-F 35-80 f4-5.6 AF zoom. Kit lens. Not bad.

SMC-A 50mm f2, classic Pentax 50, with full metering and exposure modes
support on all Pentax K mount bodies.

$250 for the lot.

Kit #3.

Pentax LX. Classic Pentax pro film SLR, form the class of 1980 (like the
Nikon F3 and Canon New F1). 1/2000 shutter, 1/75 flash sync, TTL flash
support (including a proper hotshoe unlike the F3). LED simulated match
needle display, removable finder (standard DA-1 with adjustable
diopter). Metering down to -6.5EV (128 seconds at ISO 100 and f1.4).
Mechanical shutter for speeds over sync, electronic shutter at speeds
below sync. TTL-OTF ambient metering in Aperture Priority mode with
speeds below 1/75 sync (Yes, the camera will automatically adjust the
exposure based on the actual amount of light hitting the film, for
speeds between 1/60th and 128 seconds). Takes 2fps winder or 5fps
motordrive (NOT included). Takes all K mount lenses except DA and FA-J
lenses(which lack aperture rings). This body's seen some use. It's
mechanically fine, but has wear, the leatherette is starting to peel and
the film door latch is difficult to close. Since these bodies typically
go for $400-600, I'm giving you a deal because of the door latch.

SMC-M 50mm f2. The classic Pentax 50mm.

$250.

 $250.

All prices in Canadian, plus shipping. I can only take money orders at

 Kit #3.

For which package? The LX or MZ should weigh about 3-4lbs packed, the
K100D package will be a lot more as there's a lot more in it, maybe 10lbs.

A guesstimate would be approximately $40 for the MZ or LX and about $100
for the K100D package. I could have exact prices for you on monday
evening (I need to pack them and get them weighed to get exact pricing)

FS Friday a day late

2002-09-21 Thread John Mustarde

More duplicate equipment for sale. Some of these are going to Ebay on
Sunday evening:

Vivitar Series 1 90-180/f4.5 Flat Field Zoom (cult classic lens) with
hood. User condition, mount modified to fit PZ1p properly. $165.

ME. Poor ol' ME, spend most of its life as a hard-working copystand
camera, except when it was being used and abused. Condition: put a bag
over its head, buddy. But it shoots perfectly. $40.

Super Program. Very good condition. Includes the little grip. $100.

Winder ME II. Excellent Condition. $50.

ME-F with the original 35-70/2.8 AF lens. Make offer.

SMC Pentax 200/f2.5 telephoto lens. Make offer.

M 50mm/f2 (two of them). Make offer.

A 50mm/f1.7. No longer an A lens, but works fine as an M lens. Make
offer.

LX with FA-1 finder, grip B, and the strap lugs. Very good looking,
but needs CLA and proper adjustment for infinity focus. Make offer.
