Re: About the 1952-2002 - 50 years of Pentax SLR camerasposter
A PDML member from Poland just made me re-check the total amounts I asked, so that I discovered a few of them were wrong (some were missing the tube cost, while others were missing the postage!). So please also re-check your costs before you'll pay me: http://digilander.libero.it/pentaxday/postere.htm I apologize so much for that, Dario Bonazza http://www.dariobonazza.com - Original Message - From: Dario Bonazza 2 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 15, 2002 10:51 AM Subject: Re: About the 1952-2002 - 50 years of Pentax SLR camerasposter Andre wrote: Just an observation: Dario can ship a rolled poster to US for 8 US $ (to AOHC and PDML members). Also, today I checked with the post office for shipping more than 15 posters, and things are even worse than below 15pcs, especially for Oceania. See the updated tables in: http://digilander.libero.it/pentaxday/postere.htm Dario Bonazza Yes Andre - good point. I read Dario's Table wrong - I did not realize that it was Total, I thought it was for postage costs only. I just relooked. It seems that for an order of 15 rolled posters to the U.S., the cost to Dario is $3.00 each, $45.00 total. Shipping in the U.S. is $3.85 for one or two or three, so U.S. delivered price should be: 1= $6.85 2= $9.85 3= $12.85 The price may be lightly higher if the number of orders is not evenly divided by 15, but the above is approximately right. Figure $7, $10, and $13 as the max price for 1, 2, or 3 respectively. Let me know how many you want, I'll get them from Dario and we'll go on from there. If the volume is too great, Bob S. has also offered to do this, and I'll offload some of this project on to him if need be. Re: About the 1952-2002 - 50 years of Pentax SLR camerasposter
I would be willing to be a U.S. distribution point. I figured, based on Dario's figures, assuming the he was sending 20 at a time to the U.S., and assuming $3.60 for USPS Priority, that it would come to about $9.00 to $10.00 per poster. BUT, this doesn't allow for a cost to buy mailing tubes ($1.00?) or for the fact that USPS Priority is now $3.80. So, between $9.50 and $10.50 or so. Just an observation: Dario can ship a rolled poster to US for 8 US $ (to AOHC and PDML members). And here we talk about $9 to $10.50 per poster... And, I'd be more than happy to accept shipment for any folks in the greater Toronto area who want any, if it will save on postage (which I'm sure it will). So I believe it's quite time you Canadians (and US folks too) will agree about who are the PDML distributors in your countries, isn't it? I can refine this once I have the exact number of people who are committed t buying a specific number of posters. Those who want me to deal for them, send me (Off List!) Name Address email address Number of posters Upper limit on cost. (With fewer posters, the price will be higher due to having fewer items across which to amortize the mailing cost from Italy. So, at what price point would this all get too high for you?) I'll be traveling this week, and then on vacation 27 July through 11 August, but I don't believe that will interfere with this project. Again - contact me OFF list. I have a filter that routes PDML mail into a seperate file; if I get too behind, like when I travel, I sometimes just dump the whole file.
