RE: Black MX + Pentax 50 mm. 1.2
I acquired my A 400mm/f5.6 that way. My bid was the highest, but didn't meet the reserve. The owner contacted me and told me he would be willing to sell it for the reserve, which was only $24 above my max bid. I accepted, also because it was a shop rather then a private person, with lots of positive feedback. There're a lot of warnings about getting offered an item on eBay as the second high bidder. I had occasion when I had to sell the item to the second bidder because the high bidder bid on the wrong item. He said he would -really- prefer not to proceed with the deal, but would go through if I insisted. Of course I didn't feel like insisting on the poor guy, and managed instead to sell to the second bidder at a slight loss and also got changed a bit extra by eBay for the highest bid amount. But the guy was very grateful, and I was fortunate that the second bidder obliged. So I know that trying to sell to the second bidder is not all fraud or a result of shill bidding. Len, Sid has been a good contributor to our community. Why would you think that he wouldn't try to help us if he could? Regards, Bob S. Yes, since it says he is in S. Korea. Since it shows a camera with a 1.4 lenses that looks like a scan from a brochure. Since there is no feedback. I think you are lucky he won't sell it to you, but then I am paranoid. This particular seller posted 15 items in an hour. He is no newcomer to ebay. Looks to me like someone with questionable feedback that just changed his ID. I have heard of a number of people having trouble with sellers in Korea and this seller has no feedback yet. I'd be a bit weary :) Cya - Original Message - From: "Carlos Royo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, December 31, 2001 7:39 AM Subject: Ebay: Black MX + Pentax 50 mm. 1.2 > It's a pity that the seller only ships to the US ... > US PDMLers, go for it! > > http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1316254850 > > -- > Carlos Royo > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Zaragoza (Aragon) - Spain > -- > - > This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
