Printing contacts is still an invaluable step in today's digital era workflow. I confess to not always printing contact sheets, but when I do, I'm always glad I did. I often print on 13 x 19 basic matte paper so I can view thumbnails that are 3ish x 3ish. Great size for accommodating handwritten annotations and notes. Normally I do basic processing before printing, but there have been times I just print frames unprocessed.
