Re: Cheap extension tubes and reverse lense adaptors (and other photo accessories)
Interesting site - for those of us who get into the occasional DIY project this could be a useful resources for the bits and bobs not easily (or cheaply) obtained elsewhere. The cheap IR remotes and spirit levels alone make it worth bookmarking. They appear to have the exact same LED ring light I bought a few months ago for $79 for about 1/3rd less as well... Re: Cheap extension tubes and reverse lense adaptors (and other photo accessories)
Boris, Thanks for the followup on this with more information. I am way behind on the new chineese reseller sites, and haven't purchased anything from alibaba or anything of the kind yet. However, I've seen gadgets made in China that are not available anywhere else. (E.g. just recently, for my nephew, I bought an electronic stethoscope. ) I vaguely remember seeing DX before, but didn't pay much attention to it. I wouldn't go for quality things on this website, but for simple accessories that you want to try/play with or to use infrequently, - it might a reasonable source. Cheap extension tubes and reverse lense adaptors (and other photo accessories)
I have bought tons of photo gear from Hong Kong, China, Singapore thru eBay or Amazon at prices that were cheaper than those advertised in the site here. Some examples: IR Remotes, Body and lens Caps, Video Lights, Lens Adapters and Step Up/Down Rings, Hoya Pro 1D Filters, even 77 mm CPLs and GND Filters that were as good as ones costing 20-times as much - I have proven this by posting actual photos taken with them. Another great example were batteries for my K-5 ordered from eBay Canada while in Toronto - CAD 4.55 each shipped - see order given below:- (BATTERY – VERY GOOD EBAY CANADA SELLER) - My Header Info http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemrd=1item=300828835547ssPageName=STRK:MERFB:IID NEW BATTERY D-LI90 DLI90 for PENTAX K-7/K-7D/K-5/645D CAMERA - Free Shipping Item condition: New Quantity:More than 10 available / 26 sold US $4.46 (Approximately C $4.55) Shipping: FREE - Economy Int'l Shipping Item location: Shenzhen, China (NOTE: was actually shipped from Singapore) Seller ships within 1 day after receiving cleared payment . The only two instances where I found the word Pentax on the page were for adapters to use Pentax lenses on non-Pentax cameras. You didn't look enough they also had some non coupled extension tubes. The tubes were cheap, and I mean that in all senses of the word. I only went down as far as the bottom of the first page. I hadn't seen enough Pentax content to justify clicking for the next page. On 7/27/2013 7:50 PM, P.J.
