Re: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film
You can get the Agfa Portrait 160 for $3.99 CDN a roll at Henry's. It's not a bad film for portraits, but I found the background color a bit murky (maybe it's the extra grain I see). The Fuji NPS, while not as nice for portraits, has much better overall performance. At $5.50 CDN it's pretty decent. There's a Fuji lab at Denison and Woodbine. Their prices on Fuji film is great, but you have to buy in 5 lots Jeff - Original Message - From: "David Brooks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, June 29, 2002 1:11 PM Subject: Re: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film > I think the prices of them in this area are > very close within a few cents each per > roll. Some times the local lab near work runs > out of the Fuji, thats why i tried the Agfa. > I have a few rolls of the Agfa in 120 > format. Now those are nice neg's :) > Dave > > Begin Original Message > > From: Bruce Dayton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Sat, 29 Jun 2002 08:31:47 -0700 > To: David Brooks <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film > > > David, > > I feel about the same. Re: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film
I think the prices of them in this area are very close within a few cents each per roll. Some times the local lab near work runs out of the Fuji, thats why i tried the Agfa. I have a few rolls of the Agfa in 120 format. Now those are nice neg's :) Dave Begin Original Message From: Bruce Dayton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sat, 29 Jun 2002 08:31:47 -0700 To: David Brooks <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film David, I feel about the same. David, I feel about the same. Both films are wonderful. I could use either one but haven't been able to pick a clear winner. Perhaps price and availability would end up being the deciding factor. Re: Fuji Provia 100F: great film
I have shot 1 roll of this and i like it,although i'm not a big "chrome" user just yet.I also just recieved a roll of Agfa RSXII 100 back from the lab and i think the colours are very good.Jump right out at ya. I took about 6 horse jumping pic's and they are very vibrant. Conclusion,i like the fuji AND agfa 100.To bad enlargements are going to be more than i anticipated. Will have to wait until a really good shot comes along.
