Re: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film

2002-06-29 Thread Jeff

You can get the Agfa Portrait 160 for $3.99 CDN a roll at Henry's.
It's not a bad film for portraits, but I found the background color a bit
murky (maybe it's the extra grain I see).
The Fuji NPS, while not as nice for portraits, has much better overall
performance. At $5.50 CDN it's pretty decent.
There's a Fuji lab at Denison and Woodbine. Their prices on Fuji film is
great, but you have to buy in 5 lots

Re: Re[2]: Fuji Provia 100F: great film

2002-06-29 Thread David Brooks

I think the prices of them in this area are
very close within a few cents each per
roll. Some times the local lab near work runs
out of the Fuji, thats why i tried the Agfa.
I have a few rolls of the Agfa in 120
format.Now those are nice neg's :)

David,

I feel about the same.  Both films are
wonderful.  I could use either
one but haven't been able to pick a clear
winner.  Perhaps price and
availability would end up being the deciding
factor.
