GESO: 31 ltd and 17-28 FE on film

2006-07-11 Thread Boris Liberman
Hi!

Here are few shots to support my anti-rant earlier today...

31 Ltd:
http://boris.isra-shop.com/temp/005A.jpg
http://boris.isra-shop.com/temp/012A.jpg
http://boris.isra-shop.com/temp/024A.jpg

17-28 FE:
http://boris.isra-shop.com/temp/023A.jpg

Most amazing is that the scans were that fine that I did not see it
necessary to correct anything. Even there were no dust on them, none
whatsoever. They just look perfect...

Please have your brutal and honest say ;-).

You should post these to the Leica board, everyone would comment about
the wonderful rendering of your Summicron.

Ryan, I've just laughed...

But we have some Leica users on this list. Ladies and gentlemen, do you
recognize the 'cron here?

31's were as advertised. Only thing in focus in the 17-28, is the
Yoplait. What would it have looked like at 28mm with a bit of depth?

They look like excellent, high quality pictures to me. Very nice.

Sorry if I'm not jumping up and down with enthusiasm, but perhaps
I've seen enough super quality photos with both Leica and Pentax
lenses that it doesn't really surprise me that they can look so
similar. I've been saying to people for some time that the Pentax
lenses have rendering properties that look similar to Leica lenses.

Well, I'm a Leica user too- and 005A and 024A might as well be from

Hey, Boris! I really like the color and contrast on 024A. Good

Godfrey, notice the smileys all over my post. Also, naturally, I
wouldn't want you to jump and down, you know... I do appreciate your

Exactly right. NPC 160 is my favorite color film. It is negative but it
is very close to color and contrast to slide, methinks...

Bob, she is not *big*, but she's mighty *tall*... ;-)

My wife claims Galia is in top 5% of height scale for her age. Yet her
weight is square in the middle... So she's not really big...
