Hi Bob,
Yes, I know Morton Arboretum very well. Spent quite a bit of time there
in my Chicago days. Probably have a few pics around here somewhere. We
have a few coyotes too. Saw one in my backyard a couple of weeks ago,
but I didn't have a camera. They seem to be making a comeback
throughout the midwest. Hopefully, they'll reduce the squirrel and
rabbit population. My garden will appreciate that.

These were shot at sunrise in the Morton Arboretum in Lisle. It's not
Beverly, but it is suburban Chicago - 17 miles east to Lake Michigan,

different than where you are in Detroit. That's what makes the coyote
more interesting. They seem to be making a comeback here. Folks with

Jack,

I still have a web page over at AOL
 http://www.members.aol.com/rfsindg/bob2page.html
But have been trying out the Picasa site from Google.
(The price is right, and it's very easy...)

I enjoyed taking the pictures as coyotes are still rare in suburban
Chicago, and actually catching an action photo was a treat. I agree
it's not a National Geographic Gallery, but it's the best I've got
right now. ;-)

Just thought I'd share the lot. Thanks for the comments.

Re: GESO: Coyote Breakfast

2006-06-25 Thread Jack Davis
Bob,
Does you gallery now only consist of "Coyote Breakfast" and
"Grandfather Mountain"?
Honestly, I don't feel the coyote sequence is strong enough to stand on
it's own as a gallery. An image or two in a "Nature/Wildlife"
collection might hold up.
The image titled, "Throw up..." (incidentally, I might join him/her)
due it's size and acceptable action focus, comes closest, perhaps, to
meeting a behavioral theme sequence.
Enjoyed the "Hunt".

GESO: Coyote Breakfast

2006-06-25 Thread Bob Sullivan
Here is a small gallery (13 slides) that I shot with an LX,
motordrive, and the A400/5.6 some 18 months ago. I had them scanned
as I thought they might be good web page content. With the Picasa web
stuff, it's easy to put them up on the web.

I would be happy to hear your comments and criticisms.

Regards, Bob S.
