Re: GESO: Portfolio of nature shots
Both eagle shots are good, but I personally prefer the one without the large expanse of white sky (the one with more tree). It doesn't show as much of the eagle but is a stronger image overall (IMHO). On Sat, Aug 3, 2013 at 6:56 AM, Stan Halpin wrote: > Thanks again. This one could be a contest winner: http://photos.stanhalpin.com/p350284105/h6d8d0c1f#h6d8d0c1f The photo's title is on the spotting scope: "For Distant Viewing" If you need to trim down I would eliminate all but one of the near duplicates (for example you have two eagles sitting in the tree... pick one). I would get very fussy and eliminate some of the waterfowl shots (I *really* like the two ducks, one with beak open as if talking and the weeds/branches in the foreground). Loved going on this birding trip... Stan, Great start for your portfolio. And that Eagle fly-over looks fantastic. The K-5 has an amazing capture of shadow detail. The 3 blue dragon flies on the green plant are still a favorite. Lots of the bird/duck close-ups are new to me and special, love the mussed feathers. Regards, Bob S.
