Same here - I wanted to see the shower but it was snow 'n' clouds over the 
entire state and even all of the neighboring states (yeah, I checked).

Joseph,
1500 frames and he got 48 with faint meteor traces.
The picture is spectacular, but the disc space involved is a bit
excessive for me.
Thank God it's not film and prints.  The tree huggers would be chasing him.

It says one of over 1500 frames that he reports captured 48, mostly 
faint, Geminid meteors.


Must have occurred between the two different hours I spent standing out 
in the cold, seeing not a single meteor.

About 25 Gig of raw, or about $3 worth of hard drive space per  
complete backup, if you keep all of them.

Why would you keep any more than the 48?

That's like shooting a fence post 1500 times and keeping them all,  
even though the image you were going after only manifested itself in a  
few.


Of course, I've never thrown out a digital image. I just make them  
invisible in Aperture with a '9' designate.
