K-3 holdouts, maybe cover your eyes now.

Well I'm just waiting for it to become available around here. Might
have to wait a little bit longer.

I picked up my K-3 on Monday morning and I've been carrying it around
since, shooting the usual suspects like my cats, teasels, leaves and
trees, some hip-mounted street. Which is to say, nothing to show yet.
 Maybe a cat.

Definitely maybe:)

But, each outing I try another feature. This morning's dog walk I
tested focus peaking in live view. _OMFG_. This rocks like a
hurricane. This makes using the 50-135 in MF a dream.

Well ever since I used focus peaking on my compact camera I wanted to
have it in a DSLR. Don't have to sell me on that one:)

I'm positively giddy atm. I'm scouting and preparing for a family
portrait shoot on the weekend and I cannot wait to get out there.

Enjoy!

That's why I've bought the Pentax to Leica adapter and shooting
happily with 50/1.2... /evil wink/

This particular feature is what set me on the focus stacking trail. I've
always liked doing close up work. Focus peaking, combined with image
stacking is a beautiful thing.

I suspect Pentax is going to get a lot of free publicity out of us. This
camera just doesn't seem to have any warts.
