Hmmm, didn't think of that, though the potential of borrowing an SD

This is not for me, it's intended to be a beach/water and everything
else knock about cam, all it has to be able to do is take a decent pic
in daylight and flash in low light, anything else is a bonus ;-)

Yeah, I have all the bases covered. Of course, I've never used the

Ah, didn't know that waterproof was important. I have the little Sony

I hate the xD cards too. But for the purposes I have in mind, one 1G

I have the W10, with only deifference it being 6MP insteaf of 7 I think.

I quite like it, and IQ is quite good for a P&S.
The biggest adavntage is that it is much smaller that a DSLR
and that it is weather proof.

Like most P&S from Pentax, its macro capabilities are
good too, with lots of DOF.

That said, it has been a few months since I last used it.
If I go out shooting I take the DSLR :-)

Very good for hollidays and trips where you do
not want to take much equipment though.

Regards, JvW

I'm a polar bear nut, too...
I have a bunch of stuffed bears (I think Mark

after looking at this snobby fellow Kevin sent I'm

Anyway, I'm drowsy and muddled this morning, but I
knew I had one polar bear

I have notes on where it was taken but can't get
to them :

My absolute fave polar bear shot - (by Art Wolfe?)
is BAD BOYS OF THE ARCTIC.
Three bears, the one in front is on his back,
propped up like a guy watching
tv in bed. all three are looking off to the right
(viewers right). The
card I have doesn't id the photog but it has been
widely published...
God, what I'd do to have one, just one, like
that.

Strangely enough, the (different) seller from whom I bought the LX offered
