Re: MZ-S and IR film (was Re: ZX-50 and IR film.)
I guess that's about what I pay, too. US$11 for the roll and US$16 for develop and print. The thing that kills me about HIE is that the price is the same where ever I shop for it: CameraWorld (local), B&H, Adorama... t On 6/5/02 9:50 AM, Kristian Walsh wrote: > Hi, > > 30 euro is about US$28, but it's not quite this expensive: the film > (Kodak HIE) is 14, and the processing another 12 > > Now I know it'll get exposed properly, I'll use the MZ-M and give it a > go... ;-) - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. Hi, 30 euro is about US$28, but it's not quite this expensive: the film (Kodak HIE) is 14, and the processing another 12 Now I know it'll get exposed properly, I'll use the MZ-M and give it a go... ;-) Thanks for the info, -- Kristian On Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at 03:57 am, gfen wrote: > On Tue, 4 Jun 2002, Timothy Sherburne wrote: >> 30 euro? Hi, Like Timothy said, the ZX/MZ-M works fine with Kodak HIE... and I've even been daring enough not to use the black tape for a couple of rolls. Worked fine for me. William in Utah. Hi Kristian... 30 euro? Yikes. The ZX-M will work fine with Kodak HIE, which, from what I understand, is the most picky when it comes to loading and light leak problems. I haven't tried films from Konica or Agfa or Ilford. I did take the extra step of putting a piece of black electrical tape over the little window in the door of the ZX-M; I'm not sure if it was necessary or not, but I was paranoid about it. MZ-S and IR film (was Re: ZX-50 and IR film.)
To jump in here... Has anyone definitively got IR film to work on an MZ-S without fogging? How about an MZ-M/ZX-M? I'd love to try some mono IR, but if the camera is just going to fog the roll on me, I might as well drink the thirty euro and look at my existing B&W prints instead ;-) -- Kristian On Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at 07:58 pm, gfen wrote: > On Tue, 4 Jun 2002, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >>> However, I didn't think DOF would be an issue with the 16mm. >> Uh, yeah, I guess it wouldn't be an issue with that.
