Hi guys, Just a note to say thanks again for your earlier responses on traveling in Bulgaria ... and ask another question. :-)
I'm a little less confident in my navigational skills in a place where they don't use the same alphabet I'm used to. So I'm planning to use a hand-held GPS system to have "breadcrumbs" to find my way back to the hotel or train station, or to find inaccessible places I've found on Google Maps and places like that. So should I go ahead and get one here in the US or should I get one over there? Any particular ones to look for or avoid? Oh, and are ushankas common in that area? I love them, but mine is old and a bit too small and I'd like to replace it with a good one made with real leather and fur. And, no, not the sable ones like in the book and movie "Gorky Park". :-) Oh, one more ... what are good "local color" things to bring back as gifts? You know, like if you go to Scotland you bring back wool and Scotch and if you go to Belgium it's lace and chocolate. That sort of thing. -- Thanks, DougF (KG4LMZ) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
