Next version of Firefox will be colorspace-aware

2007-06-19 Thread Mark Roberts
May be old news to some, but I just heard about it today. Firefox 3
will recognize ICC profiles in images. beta should be out in July.

For those who can't wait, Apple Safari is now available for Windows,
but personally I'll let others be early adopters and find the security
holes.

Several folks I know have installed and are using the public beta of
Safari on Windows. So far the reports are positive on imaging
quality, etc.

Mozilla seems to be taking after MS, bugware. And instead of fixing it bring
out a new version with new bugs. Of course at the price it is more
understandable then MS's stance.

Maybe on Windows. On my dual G5 powermac it just crashes during
start, so not a single chance to try it.

Cheers,

Yup, they're on Winders. I haven't had a moment to spare the past few
days and can't disturb my systems at present: too much work to do to
experiment with beta software.
