I found it quite funny as I assumed it was tongue-in-cheek. I am sure we all
thought exactly the same thing when the rule was put in place (I know I did). I
have a few photos from the RB67 I'd like to have sent in but I have my own
website for that, if I can get around to scanning them.

Cheers,

John...didn't you just say in the post before this that "if I want to
send in something shot on non-Pentax equipment I know that I'll have to
lie about it"? I'm totally missing what's so offensive about Bob's post.

My, Shel was right - it *did* get nasty, didn't it?

I don't need to lie to you to get my images shown anywhere.
But if it matter to you that much, don't worry - I'd be quite
happy to have all my images removed from the Pentax gallery.
I don't think I'll bother to submit to any future galleries,
either. In fact I think I'll just unsubscribe from the PDML.

RE: Non-Pentax equipment

2001-10-23 Thread Ed

Are you looking for adjectives to describe that discussion? What a
slippery slope we would descend to go there again. Let's just one
side won and one side lost. It was a very polarizing, dividing
discussion, with two pretty much mutually exclusive groups.

Thanks,
Ed

No "heated" is too mild a word.

I have an idea everybody! Let's try to define what's Pentax equipment
and what isn't!

(John, if the archives are still there, look for a neverending series
of threads along the lines of "what is Pentax equipment", from about 3
moths ago or so)

Perhaps "angry" s far to strong a word to describe the discussion at
that time.

Don't start that again When I first joined the list a few months ago
there was a lot of angry messages flying around about what is acceptable and
what is not.
