Re: OT: Back in the Pentaxian fold
About 11mb. They're not THAT large compared some scans, but they are larger than a lot of RAW files from 6mp cameras, and certainly a lot larger than the approximately 1.5mb files of the large JPEG's the camera generates. My 4mp Sony will do "stunning" 8x10's all day long, and the Oly has a few more pixels PLUS can soot RAW. Still, it's amazing what these upper end or prosumer digis can do if the operator knows a little something about how to get the best out of them.

[Original Message] From: Graywolf Well now! Suddenly I am a bit prouder of my C-5050Z. It does make a fine 8x10 and an acceptable 11x14 (haven't actually made a print that big, but have made a couple of crops that would have been that big full frame). Seems amazing from a sensor 1/2 the size of a minox negative. However, I still prefer the Crown Graphic for fun, and I am keeping the MX's. http://www.olympusamerica.com/e1/gal_amajoli.asp -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. I have 50 lbs of Pentaxii, and don't apologize for having another brand camera. If Pentax had come out with their DSLR a little sooner, I would not have bought an Olympus Camedia C-8080 5X Zoom. But they didn't, and I did... It'll be fun to have a camera in my purse. That's precisely (well not PRECISELY) why I got one. I wanted one I didn't have to unlimber... My Optio S4 fit the bill perfectly. Now, the S5i fits the bill too, but it's in my wife's purse! We're a Pentax S[whatever] family... Even if the image quality isn't great, or at least not up to a DSLR. Hey, the quality IS up to most cameras. Using my S4, I took a couple of hundred images of my front yard re-landscaping, and for the most part they all came out quite well. Certainly good enough for an album. And, some were blown up to 5X7 and are excellent. When folks want to know what took those fine photos, I merely haul out the S4! Talk about amazed faces!
