Can't get to the talk, but the book looks interesting, thanks, particularly as

Conversations on
Conflict Photography

Across a wide range of battlegrounds worldwide, conflict photographers face
daunting perils to capture indelible images. From dodging gunfire to facing
psychological and cyber dangers, these journalists are steadfast in
bringing you the truth. At a moment when legitimate journalism is
repeatedly attacked by leaders around the globe, acknowledging the import
of this work is crucial.

Learn about their experiences at this discussion moderated by Craig Allen,
an international photo editor at The New York Times. The speakers include
an award-winning New York Times photographer; Bangladeshi photographer and
activist Shahidul Alam, who was jailed after criticizing the Bangladeshi
government and its abusive treatment of student protestors, and whose work
will be exhibited at the Rubin Museum of Art; and Lauren Walsh, a professor
at The New School, whose new book, “Conversations on Conflict Photography,”
focuses on coverage of war and humanitarian crises.
