Re: OT: Naked Beauty
Cool shot of a lovely flying machine. As you probably know, the Phantom is the only A/C used by both the Blue Angels and the Air Force Thunderbirds. In the mid-1970s, after the Thunderbirds had transitioned from the Phantom to the T-38 Talon, McDonnell-Douglas made a documentary about the F-4 titled *Once a Thunderbird*. I managed to get my hands on it a couple times for classroom use. The air-to-air sequences are special. If you are ever able to get hold of a copy and view it, you'll have about 30-40 minutes of pulse quickening. -p On 10/5/2014 7:28 AM, Daniel J. I hope ISIS will see many more of these. I hope not. These are old planes by todays standards without the capabilities of our newer aircraft. They don't fly them - that would be absurd! They're pulled by a team of draught-stoats. Have you any idea how many mustelids, not including badgers, it would take to pull a Phantom at close to the speed of sound?
