Thanks David. I reported her to the photo.net administrators. They said to just ignore her. She had to join in order to post a critique. That's a lot of effort for what's involved. I think the one she's really after is the lady who is in the photo. She uses the name bridal boot camp, and has become quite well known. The recent article in the NY Times is just one of many. What's probably bugging Lucille is that Jennifer, the lady in my picture, is much better looking. Lucille's working name seems to be Cynthia Conde. When you go around making threats, you have to have a lot of names:-). The business sending the letter offered to forgive the infringement for a one-time payment of four thousand dollars and threatened to refer the matter to their lawyers if I didn't pay up. The obvious tip-off, even had I been ignorant of legal specifics, was the threat to refer the matter to their lawyers - in a real infringement case I would have received a letter *from* the lawyers. I thought of explaining them that *titles* of creative works are not covered by either copyright or trademark, but then I realized they already knew that. So I briefly considered composing a letter consisting of Hahahahahahah... covering an entire page. But in the end I just decided to ignore them as not being worth the effort. Notice that they sent the message themselves and just cc'd their own lawyer (or *pretended* to have cc'd their lawyer). If they were serious they'd have contacted their lawyer first and had the *lawyer* send the message. They have no case and they know it, so they aren't wasting any money on a lawyer.
