I've seen Moms do rotten things to daughters, often out of jealousy. You can't change who your relatives are, so you'll have to live with it. Just remember that you've got what she hasn't, and really wants. Keep working and raise your prices gradually. I like the idea of taking on new areas at a discount, an experiment of sorts. Eventually, you're going to have to charge more to weed out the clients. Remember, you can work 52 wedding a year for $X or 26 for $2X, and still make the same amount of money...plus have time for yourself/family! Regards, Bob S.
