No shame at all.
We have to use some non-Pentax equipment regularly just to see the
diffrence.. ;-)

My question is; How many of you will confess to owning and/or using either
 the K60 or the K88?

I have a nice Kiev88 with 3.5/45, 2.8/80, 2.8/150, a removable lens 2X TC,
TTL prism and waist level finder + 2 magazines. A very capable set, but I use
it only a few times a year, for special purposes.

For regular shooting, I like my little Pentaxes (LX, MX) so much more...
The K88 is far too big for a second body, most of the time I carry around
my CertoSix (6x6 RF folder) instead.

I am not sure if this is common knowledge, but the ownership of Kiev USA may well be
changing in the not too distant future. This could impact the level of service
currently offered, one supposes.

I've purchased a Kiev 60. In my research on whether or not to get the
thing, I've been reading the Kiev forum. Lo and behold, I've come across a
couple of other regular PDML'ers over there (who will remain anonymous for
their protection).

My question is; How many of you will confess to owning and/or using either
the K60 or the K88?

Actually, I think I got lucky and got a decent one.

I'd be one those people. I'd say I'm not proud, but hey, I'm abou getting
the best I can for the money I spend. I thought about a Kiev MF camera
after I had such pleasing results with my Zenitar 16mm lens.

Well, I want a P67, but alas, it looks like my ringbuyer bailed on me, and
that cash isn't going to happen. I might be going down teh K60 route,
after all.

Which is a shame, I really wanted something in 6x7.. sigh.

HI,

One of my friends just picked up a Kiev 88 and shot some slides along side
is Hassleblad. Shot for Shot on a tripod and i really couldnt tell the
difference. The colour representation was identical, the bokeh was pretty
much the same and the sharpness was identical. His seems to work okay.

The only problem is the lenses arnt leaf shutters and the flash sync is only
1/30.

Its also easier to focus that the Hassleblad which has an accumat screen in
it.

Regards,
Paul

BO My question is; How many of you will confess to owning and/or using either
BO the K60 or the K88?

Well, I have a mint Pentacon Six TL which I use a lot, especially
since I got the adapter to use my 2.8/180 Olympia Sonnar on it - it's
a great portraiture combo, great in the studio (the P6 isn't exactly
great for mountain hiking as the shutter is prone to failure under 5
degree celsius, due to mechanical only design, no electronics like in
P67). It's a nice little light camera, really! Can't wait till I get
the 4/50 Flektogon. The Sonnar gives me so little depth of field at
full bore that some very nice selective focus portraits are possible,
and it covers 6x6 perfectly (am sure it would 67 too, but what's the
point there).

Good light,
