Certainly could be easily cropped out with a nip on the right to balance it a little. Some years, the flood waters reach the peak of the roof. Your story makes this interesting, but I don't think it works as a photograph. It might work better if you were tighter on the plywood golfer and let the background go somewhat out of focus.
