Interesting, but i like it.
Nice framing and not overly bright to me anyway.

Nice blue sky. The crane looks nice against it.

Another pic from my weekend in Chicago. Great place to shoot. New
buildings going up everywhere. This one is about three blocks north
of the river and two blocks east of Michigan Avenue. I processed
this on my laptop, so I'm not sure about overall brightness. May
have to reprocess a bit when I get home. But I like it. It's with
 the DA 12-24, 15 mm, f8 @ 1/500, ISO 200:

Thanks Dave. Yes, I was reasonably happy with the laptop rendering when I
looked at it on my home computer. We had super skies all weekend. Couldn't ask
for more than that.

A bit too light on mine -
YOu struck terror into my heart with this one, Paul
please tell me they are not tearing down the Best Western
Inn of Chicago,
nee , the ST Claire Hotel. The first home I remember.

In my neighborhood, I have to navigate around one like this
to get to the recent
happy edition to our neighborhood - Trader JOe's. I tend to
take a very long way
around on a windy day! In Chicago, that's hard to do. :)

IMHO, it's certainly not too light. Beautiful upload.
Reminds me of the quip that California's state bird is the crane.
Appears to apply to Chicago as well.
  Enjoyed the look.

Hi Ann,
Yes, I'll have to look at this on my home monitor. I think the St. Claire is
still intact. I'll try to look. I'm going out for a walk this morning. Then
it's a Sox game this afternoon and back to Michigan tonight.

Made me chuckle. Good perspective on the crane -- crane taking over. Thanks
