I've seen similar contraptions but with wheels for use on sand and a metal frame which isn't nearly as elegant as that wooden one. It's certainly a bracing one for those of us in the warmer climes of the mid-south. We've had a relatively mild winter, too. We only see frozen lakes during the harsh ones.
