Thanks Russell Quoting Russell Kerstetter [EMAIL PROTECTED]: with reference to your picture... I really like it a lot. for whatever reason, I like the pictures of windows and doorways, there is always so much visual interest (yes, I'm weird). Not so weird - or maybe I'm weird as well. many times without sanding. It's a neat pic. The only gripe I have, is that without a caption I would not know what the didgeridoos were, but then that's what the caption is for, right? Good job. I have to confess that I was attracted to the wall and window frame and only noticed the didgeridoos later. You might have missed my reply to Marnie about didgeridoos. John Quoting John Francis [EMAIL PROTECTED]: It's a good enough picture, but I think it would be even better if it were possible to see more of the objects through the window. Maybe a polarizing filter would have lost some of the reflections, or maybe (horror of horrors!) you could try selectively boosting the contrast or saturation using Photoshop. I did actually have a polariser in my bag - must remember to fit it to the lens. I'm not adverse to boosting contrast - not sure it would help much here though. with reference to your picture... I really like it a lot. for whatever reason, I like the pictures of windows and doorways, there is always so much visual interest (yes, I'm weird). I like the clashing colors, I like the texture of the wall, I like the broken reflection in the window panes, I like the frame that has been painted over too many times without sanding. It's a neat pic. The only gripe I have, is that without a caption I would not know what the didgeridoos were, but then that's what the caption is for, right? Good job. russell On 8/29/06, Brian Walters [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi all This colourful wall and window in a Sydney cafe caught my eye while enjoying a long black. http://members.westnet.com.au/brianwal/PAW/didge-paw.html Comments, advice, plaudits, brickbats welcome. Interesting colors too, the green looks very vivid against that salmon colored wall. I'm sorry... I forgot to comment on the coffee :) I am not a connoisseur, but if I can hold the pot up and see light through it, then it tastes like toilet water. Otherwise I like it to be able to stand up and walk around on it's own. I do agree with Adam that coffee should taste like coffee, not vanilla-hazlenut-maple-flavored-poo. I like *bucks, but around here some call it Fivebucks. russell On 8/29/06, Brian Walters [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi all This colourful wall and window in a Sydney cafe caught my eye while enjoying a long black. http://members.westnet.com.au/brianwal/PAW/didge-paw.html Comments, advice, plaudits, brickbats welcome. Maybe a polarizing filter would have lost some of the reflections, or maybe (horror of horrors!) you could try selectively boosting the contrast or saturation using Photoshop. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
