Along with unseasonably cold temperatures, Mother Nature brought us the
first snowfall o9f the season last night..  OK, it wasn't a blizzard, but
it did leave some patterns on the deck that caught my eye.

PESO - first snow

The weather forecast was for "just a dusting on light snow."



So far the reports are talking of three to four inches of heavy wet
stuff.  The kids are happy.  This is the perfect stuff to make
snowmen.

Nothing special, just a shot through the back door.

PESO - First Snow

It's snowing today, totally snarling the morning commute.  It took me 1 
hour to travel 0.6 miles on the way to taking the kid to school.  We 
turned around at the first opportunity and went back home.

In Minneapolis we run those very same ones.  Behind them will be a big  
dump truck spreading sand and salt (and with more plows fixed to it).

They are very effective... never mind if they are a bit old-school.

removal service is woeful.

The equipment in this photo is illustrative of that fact...
