Re: PESO: Frosty Wood

Thanks Bruce. I guess that one is the keeper. I liked the gradient too,
not an equal amount of light all the way down. Thanks for looking.

Marnie the almost akaless

Very nice texture and light, #1 especially so. #1 works much better for
me because of the dead leaves giving my eyes something to rest on. I
guess I also find the light gradient from the top to be more restful.

Heh. Thanks Brian. Never occurred to me someone would think they are
slugs. Actually that is my favorite. They are curled dead leaves. I suppose a
closer shot/crop would show that more effectively.

Sometimes I just can't figure out how big to resize my photos for web
viewing. They usually seem to come out too small.

It was early morning light, not a time I usually shoot, and I liked its
softness.

I prefer the second one - the lighting is more interesting and the

Thanks mucho, Jack. I showed both because I couldn't decide which I liked
best. You expressed what I liked subconsciously about each. :-)

Shot straight downward last winter at the old deck in the back, when it
was covered in frost. (Deck in the back of the house I bought. I will
probably, eventually, tear it out. Although I like old, weathered wood, I
would
prefer something less trippable in a deck. I'll probably recycle the wood
into raised planter boxes for veggies.)
