Re: PESO: Red Shoulder Hawks
Walt, We saw the first one sitting on a fire plug along the side of the road. We stopped and watched for a while and #2 joined him. They seemed to be feeding on bugs in the grass. Regards, Bob S. Re: PESO: Red Shoulder Hawks
You did well in dealing with the strong back light. Not that important, but is there a little more of the sign available? Really nice catch, Bob! Re: PESO: Red Shoulder Hawks
Jack, Thanks, there really isn't much more of the sign to include. I cropped out a bunch of sky at the top, but not much sign. The back lighting wasn't a problem until they got up against the sky. My chance to catch these guys really made your hawk shot more impressive. Getting a sharp bird on the wing is really special. Regards, Bob S. Re: PESO: Red Shoulder Hawks
As I said, more of the sign isn't critical, but if the word Festival were complete, it would be a slightly cleaner for me. Appreciate your comments re my latest hawk shot. I called it a Red Tail, but turns out it's, also, a Red-Shouldered. Awhile back I Googled bird identification and have used the resulting site a couple times. They corrected me, in this case.
