I'm happy with the result, and probably will be shooting this way

One of the best nostril shots I've seen from you in quite a while, Juan.

BTW, which Paris location do you prefer. I'm partial to the Montparnasse
location.

Excellent. Which Portra are you using, NC or VC? I'm guessing VC by the
contrast.

Hmm, gonna have to try this.

Excellent, as always.

I recently took out the Nikon LS-40 film scanner that I purchased
last year and am horrified to discover that I need to re-learn
scanning again. Sheesh, it's been a LONG while since I did much
scanning... I'm out of practice!

I can't believe that Juan is using a lowly 9000ppi drum scan. Clearly the
man has no respect for his photos and even less for the sophisticated and
highly skilled photographers on this list.

That's right, it was Portra VC. One of the free rolls Kodak sent me
via that promotion they had a few months ago.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Godfrey.

I've been scanning my BW film, but this jpeg was made from the CD
with the pics that I ordered at Walgreens :) I think it's an extra $2
or $3, bringing the total for a roll to $6.50 or so for developing +
CD (no prints.) The images in the CD are only 1800 pixels wide, so
I'll have to scan them for real when I print them, but it's really
convenient.
