yes I was. the species however seems to be thriving here. it's just
that it is elusive...

Trying again. Wouldn't go yesterday.

You were most fortunate to get that image. An impressive looking bird.
We have the Narina Trogon here, also a rare resident of the vestiges of
indigenous forest. I have never seen one.

thanks Ann. the trogon is found in the tropical and subtropical forests
throughout the world. the colouring may differ. there are a few in the
Americas too so you may have seen one earlier..
