it was an extreme crop Ann, see my reply to Alan :)

your great blue looks a lot like our grey heron. the purple heron is
somewhat smaller in comparison.

Alan, thank you but i think there is nothing with the screen
calibration. in my defence, i did say 'somewhat' because to my eye it
did look as if there was a slight degradation because of the extreme
crop.
