PESO: two images from my project

2005-07-02 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

http://www.photoforum.ru/rate/photo.php?photo_id=199955
http://www.photoforum.ru/rate/photo.php?photo_id=199426

They are totally unrelated. The only connection between them is that I
shot them during my lunch or supper time at work.

Boris.

P.S. I do stay late (until 11 pm) once every week. So sometimes I have
to have supper at work.

The first one is a nice strong photo.

The second has no context or story, and offers little to involve the viewer.

How nice it is to know that you sometimes work late and eat supper at work.

What is your project? If these are two images from the same project, why
is it that they are not connected?

Stunning! Is that Sigma lens sharp enough for you to get a really *big*
print of this? This image is definitely a candidate for poster size
treatment.

My project, which I thought you might have remembered, is to take a
camera with me at work every day. I would take one lens only, sometimes
zoom though and take my camera with me as I intake nutrition :).

The project is about walking and seeing things, whatever they are.

Sigma is quite sharp indeed. I'll see what I can do...

Yeah. Or I could copy and paste the ears from Frank's photos too... I
mean, theoretically and in light of most recent discussions only ;-).

Ahhh ...hanks for the reminder about your project. The next step is to
find a theme or two, and make those the focus of the project.

I love the first shot. Great composition. I don't dislike the second,
although I find the stoplight and person right at the edge to be
somewhat distracting. I probably would like it better either a little
lighter or a little tighter.

Hello Boris,

The first shot has a nice compositional balance that makes it very
nice to look at. On top of that, it offers an unusual perspective to
a tall building - nice work.

The second shot doesn't do much for me. The backgrounds need to have
something to do with the presentation. As is, it just seems like
someone on a bicycle waiting for the light to change.

So its title, then, could be Lunchtime with Boris?

Eleanor, you see, Lunchtime with Boris could be a title to a TV show,
but unlike certain list member(s) I shot only stills ;-)...

P.S. What did I do wrong, that my mere P.S. in the original message gets
