PESO -- Wooden Launch

2007-07-09 Thread P. J. Alling
One last PESO from the Tall Ships, well a short ship I would guess. A
portrait of a Wooden Runabout.

Equipment: Pentax *istDs/smc Pentax fisheye f4.0

Note: Defished using PTTools old shareware/freeware version.

Maybe here???

Those old wooden boats are really works of art in themselves. Neat
portrayal...

That's a beautiful photo of a beautiful boat.

I know they're lots more work to maintain than modern fibreglass (or
whatever modern runabouts are made of) boats, but there's something
about a handcrafted wooden boat that is indescribably beautiful.

Great choice of lens; you really used the fisheye well here. Love the
composition.

Terrific photo!

cheers,
frank

Except for the butt ugly superstructure that unfortunatly positioned
air vent, it's a nice looking boat.

Nice shot Peter.

Cheers,

That's actually pretty typical of this type of boat from the 1890's
through the 1930's.
