I like the color one better, too...

One thing -- I think if the main subject matter was smaller in the frame 
it would have been a slightly stronger statement
about the oddness of your find... the closeup makes us (or me :-) ) 
think you placed them there for a still life

I like this version as well, but the black and white one with the same

I ask myself is that a yellow Eureka lemon or a slightly yellow-orange
Meyer lemon?  Is that raw green broccoli or cooked green broccoli?  I
still can't "read" the subtleties in a B&W image.
