The outside "guard" appears to be braced at seated attention. The indoor 
"guard" looks more like a full Chicken Colonel (with an attitude) about to step 
out and review the troops.

I've been doing all my processing from my work computer which has an
uncalibrated screen.  I've gotten that comment a lot recently (dark
images), so I obviously have a problem with calibration.

I don't really think that the overall shot is dark (as Christian 
suggests), but I think that the left-hand side, especially the l-h guard 
dog, needs to be lightened up to bring doggy details out of the murk.


But I like the shot, and I like that a friend's (Daniela Nardi) gig 
poster is well displayed. :-)
