Interesting indeed, Bob. However a bit awkward for the time being. The
number one domestic news headline here since Easter is the first
uncovered case in Norway of child abuse by a catholic priest.

Which of course neither you or Igor would have known...

So Igor, I'll stick to the dancing metaphor and thank you for the
compliment. :-)

I don't think that's the only meaning/connotation for that expression.
E.g. among dancers there is a phrase that a person has two left feet.
In some sports (e.g. board riding, and possibly jumping), it refers
to the actual thing (as opposed to "goofy" in snowboarding).

In any case, the religious connotation was not implied here.

'left-footer' is a slang term for a Roman Catholic, probably slightly
offensive so if you use it you could end up with no teeth left.

Used mainly by protestants who I suppose must be right-footers, although
nobody uses the term. Protestants, according to my Catholic mother, are
called proddy dogs.

Petite build, to maximise performance? Check. Neck like an 800lb gorilla, so
the helmeted head goes where you want rather than force dictates? Check. You
had to be racers or fighter pilots. I don't think fighter pilots have much oil

Here is yet another photo, - that of Roger Penrose, mentioned in my
previous message (right one, in a blue jacket).
In this photo he is actually giving a speach that he inspected
our tiling and was not able to find any errors in it
(as he frequently find them at other places that have installed
such a tiling).

http://www.komkon.org/~igor/PHOTOS/Mixed-2010/Penrose_and_Tile_IR_5500.jpg

To Bob W.:
One of my colleagues in the department took a very special
care of the tiling - designing and checking at all stages,
as the contractor would have not done the job right (if at all).
I doubt you'd be able to afford my colleague's consulting services
for your bathroom. :-)
