Yes, well, you liked it. I liked it. Surely, you're not suggesting a "one person, one vote" system, are you Bruce? FWIW, until my mind decifered that those in focus bits were reflections on mirror-smooth puddles, I found it rather confusing, too (I commented before looking at other comments). Once I figured it out, it all "clicked in", my brain settled down (as much as it ever does ), and the photo and I got along just fine, thank you. Put me in the like (in case you didn't get that from my post a few minutes ago). cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson

At first I wasn't sure that I liked it, but now I'm thinking it's pretty damned cool. I think it would look tremendous blown up real big. Since you're tallying to comments, you can put me into the "Don't Like" column ... although I very much like that you tried something different and a little, er, off beat This one may be like Brussels sprouts in that it may be an acquired taste ... Re: PESO - Look Beyond the Mark
I'm on the "don't like it" side; there's too much OOF stuff, and the two in-focus areas don't look like reflections so much as two weird objects floating above the path. To my eyes it looks like some heavy photoshoptreatment rather than DOF and the two sharp areas with apparent OOF area between them are quite uncomfortable - unless I am misinterpreting the photo? First a bit confused, then impressed by the idea and the crispness of the reflection, but a bit uncomfy to look at. BTW, clicking through Bruce's other PAW collections, they are all so nice and impressive. I am finding myself always reviewing his past posted photos every time he shares his latest :-). A lot to learn from them. Thank you Bruce for sharing these photos. Cheers, Ken
Re: PESO - Look Beyond the Mark
An interesting take on water reflections. It struck me as somewhat artificial at first, but I gradually came to realize that it's not articicial, it's a fresh perspective. Very nice. Very impressionistic, Bruce. It took me a while to figure out what I was looking at, and even then my eyes kept trying to bring the sidewalk and grass next to the puddles into focus. I like the idea a lot, but somehow it's not comfortable to look at. Rick --- Bruce Dayton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Taken on one of my recent 'walks'. PESO - Look Beyond the Mark
Taken on one of my recent 'walks'. It had rained the day before and I came across this on my path. I played around with DOF and felt that this represented what I saw. I wanted the reflections to jump out at you instead of getting lost in the image.
