Paul's first daff has inspired me to post this pic, hot off the press.
Our daffs (UK) have been out for over a couple of weeks now and a good
friend of my neighbour's has lived in this house for 50 years. In that
time he told me he has not seen decent photographs of either his house
or his daffs. I promised him I'd do both, for a couple of bottles of
wine. He hasn't seen it yet.

 EOS 1DmII + SMC-K15mm aboard a Manfrotto 190, 1/60th at f11, ISO 200.
This will be pushed to about a 16X12 when I'm done.

Sorry to take so long to comment on this one, Cotty. Christie and I
have both spent some time looking at it, and we both agree that it's
really well done. Your neighbor's friend should be very pleased. I

Yo mate, that's very kind of you to say. I did several angles and to be
honest I wasn't sure about this. I wondered if the empty area bottom
left could be better filled with another plant, but I'm not keen on
cloning one in, would rather re-shoot. But I looked again and decided
that I rather liked it. You sort of expect another set of daff there,
and when you don't see them you sort of wonder why. Then it dawned on me
that the vague shadows playing on the turf (one presumes from an unseen
tree) give the image some depth, and a place to 'rest' while picking out
the blothces of flowers.

Kind of.

;-)

Anyway, thanks.

Fascinating...

Thinking of your suggestion, the thought of 15 full frame lens occurred
to me. However, I should be sure to try it before I buy it. I think it
will be too large a lens for me.

You serious? The 15mm 3.5 isn't big. But it is beautiful. I think it's
wonderful, but it does flare a bit if the sun has access. Solution: flag.

Yes, I've seen that page about 15 mm... My biggest prime lens is FA 31

But as I said - I will be sure to take a look if opportunity presents
itself.
