Yeah, drummers are tough! I "threw out" about a dozen for various reasons - this is the best of the bunch. The cymbals partially obscuring him don't bother me (he is on drums, after all - I feel they add atmosphere), but that damned mic! It's too bad you couldn't shoot from a little over to your left so that he wasn't quite so obscured by cymbols. Chances are he would have then been obscured by a guitar. Drummers are hard too shoot. They're always poorly lit, blocked by the other band members, and autofocus much prefers focusing on the drum kit in front, rather than the person behind it, so you have to manually focus.
