Forgot to say: Thank you to all who has helped me find a solution on this on and off list. The list is an expensive place to hang around for a LBA'er, but it sure is helpful and full of wisdom. RE: Paying problems at eBay. (A follow up question)
Just got a mail from the seller. He has agreed to withdraw the deal. I'm right now sending a thanks message. Now I feel a bit bad about it. He may be a reasonable man who just has been unlucky with his transactions. Never the less. So it looks like a happy ending at this "never ending story". I've even got a new deal sealed, another lens. A bit pricier, but safer (read newer) and better lens. Re: Paying problems at eBay.
The paypal site (login first) should give you an option "add funds". It probably lists a local norwegian back account where you should transfer the money (don't forget to include the special numbers they supply you. Once the money is transferred (one or more days) you should see your money in your paypal account as funds. After that you can pay the seller using your funds (and not your credit card). It works for me, no idea if paypal is offering this service to Norway. Toine On 3/13/06, Tim Øsleby <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I'm very new to this. Re: Paying problems at eBay.
Ebay bought Paypal a while back - isn't that right? It sounds like the seller owe money to ebay (listing fees etc. ?) So, ebay/Paypal is blocking the seller?? (why do ebay let him list things in the first place...?) If the auction said Paypal is OK, I'd tell the seller to forget the whole thing! You will probably find a better seller/lens shortly, anyway :-) Hopefully you won't get negative feed back for this.
