Cotty,

Last time I was there, I had the Leica CL and a lens kit of two R lenses, the
Elmarit-R 28mm f/2.8 and Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4. I don't think I had the
Pentax-L 43mm Special yet, I'd only recently obtained the CL and had the two R
lenses from when I was shooting with the Leica SL.

Yes, just checked my records: I ordered the CL in July 2018 and carried that on
the trip. I arrived home on October 4. I bought the Pentax-L 43 Special on
November 1, 2018, and the last time I visited you was late that summer.

Interesting! I'm sure I saw your CL and LTM lens when you last visited

I have. It images well, albeit a good bit of the imaging is lost due to the 2x
crop (better on APS-C where it has a little more space to work with).

Ervgonomically, it’s twisty. It has a very light focusing helicoid with a short
throw for the SLR AF, which makes manual focus precision a little difficult at
times.

I gave up on it, sadly. It’s a wonderful lens on the Pentax bodies it was
dedigned for. I finally replaced it for the CL with the Leica thread mount
version, and it’s a peach of a lens.

You've just answered it ;-)

No, I was wondering what it's like with the MFT adapter. Obvs the sensor won't
reach the corners so I imagine - as with all 'full frame' lenses on MFT - it
will generally be a better performer wide open. Given that the lens is
optically better than the clutch of Pentax K 50s in various guises, I wonder
how it would behave as a portrait lens on MFT.

No but I could, I do have an adapter. What's the question?

Out of interest, has anyone on the list ever paired this lens with a Micro Four
