Yes they are - Rangifer tarandus

 Where taken?

Deep in Denali N.P, from the road, across from one of the rest stops.
Several hundred feet above the gravel river bed.

I like it, Kenneth, especially the odd man out watching the others go
away from him.  It looks a bit oversharpened to me at that size, though.
 I guess that could be a result of using Velvia, though.  I don't know
jack about slide film.  I've only ever shot one roll of the stuff. :-)

I like this one. Didn't see your original post. The backlight creates  
some interesting highlights and textures. Cropping an inch or so off  
the top might be a nice alternative, but I like it as presented.
