Thanks Godfrey. I;'ll print that out, when i am on the PC. I had sized the photo in develop mode, i think, then in print module, i set up the canvas size with the sliders. It worked for the 8x10, but when i did a 5x7 it only printed out as a 3x4 ish photo. I'll print out you guide and have it next to me for the next one. In PSCS2 i have a hard time getting my IR to print out as on screen, but i have found they print out very nicely in LR. Re: Printing from Lightroom
Mark, As for the workflow between PS and LR, - I second Godfrey's suggestion. I have salvaged a few images using Focus Magic. These were taken at some dance events, -- so no way to redo, and sometimes no time to focus more carefully. on the original capture. And LR's sharpening capability was not sufficient. However, indeed, on many occasions I found that LR's "sharpen" tool yields comparable (or sometimes even slightly better) results. I haven't tried printing from LR. Re: Printing from Lightroom
Hmm. I've not had the same problems you do printing from a ProPhoto RGB image in Photoshop. In my print tests, they are very near to identical on rendering. Lightroom will occasionally show a slight edge on certain images. The ability to create an apply printing templates to any number of photographs makes printing from Lightroom FAR FAR more consistent and efficient than Photoshop for me. I've not printed *anything* from Photoshop for most of this year. Why do you "export" and then "reimport"? Why not just use the Lightroom command to "Edit in Photoshop" ...
