well, when I get the beast the one sure way to check is to try to mount
it on my K-1000 :-)

Looks like it's an 'A' lens that's not locked in the 'A' position.

The red dot is there on the side of the bayonet. If you follow the
vertical side of the letter 'P', you can just barely see it (or its
reflection) right under the edge of the flange.

Every K-mount Tokina lens I've had, the red dot on the rear flange

That's not the question Ann had, though.

My Olympus 4/3 lenses have a bayonet mount, and a red dot for

I would not be at all surprised to find that there are other systems

also have red dots, so even though the Tokina 28-810 lens has a

K-mount.

Re: Question about Tokina Zoom 28-210 vis a vis Pentax

2013-07-19 Thread Jeffery Smith
My 28-80 2.8 Tokina zoom is built like a tank and is better with film than with
digital. The zooms that really seem to have gone up in quality (optical and
build) are the Sigmas and Tamrons, IMO. Since the Tokina is a gift, that trumps
paying for a Pentax, Tamron, or Sigma. :-)
