My charming wife and I go out for breakfast once on the weekend.
Saturday mornings, a small group of old car buffs meet for breakfast, and
they bring old cars.

Shot with the K1 and the 31mm LTD.

I swear to god, if someone told me twenty years ago that digital would
eventually give this sort of quality, I would have laughed in his face.
The pictures are a bit large.
Note the inadvertent selfie.

Enjoy.

You can buy a "replica" of the XK 140, but I'm not sure it's available

Relax. It’s a replica, albeit a good one. All genuine Shelby Cobras have single
side rollers behind the driver.

That is the real deal.

Thanks Paul. Rats, that's good. I can see this K-1 is going to be a real
wallet buster and credit card exterminator

My plan was to wait until prices have dropped, or at least until stores
start selling the body with a kit lens (28-105) at a discount. I
suspect that demand for the camera will stay high enough for longer tha
my patience. There's the question of how much I'd save, and how much
per month I'd be willing to pay to not wait until that time.

Subject: GESO: Old cars with a new camera.

My charming wife and I go out for breakfast once on the weekend.
Saturday mornings, a small group of old car buffs meet for breakfast,
and they bring old cars.

http://users.accesscomm.ca/wrphoto/pictures/cars2/index.html

Shot with the K1 and the 31mm LTD.

I swear to god, if someone told me twenty years ago that digital would
eventually give this sort of quality, I would have laughed in his face.
The pictures are a bit large.
Note the inadvertent selfie.

Enjoy.

Very much enjoyed these and those by Paul S.

Has anyone tried out really high ISO pictures yet? I regularly take images
late in the evening - not an issue with the longer days at present - and
anything that allows me to not use a flash, is a real plus. I've been
impressed with what the K3 can do for late night street photography; is the
K1 noticeably better?
