While it is true that mainstream TV (in the US, at least) does not cover motorsports, I do not believe that is due to lack of understanding. It is because the only thing more boring than watching car races on TV is watching golf. :) Bob - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. Paul, I agree that American car companies are interested but it's the American public (and more to the point, the American TV broadcasters) that show little interest. Thank god for Speedvision. Re: OT: Eddie - was: Rubens (Was: Re: Insanity test)
I managed to find a place to work in Virginia where a good portion of my co-workers are into F1 at least as much as I am. They've gone to Indy to see the USGP both in 2000 and 2001 and are going again this year (budget and timing have prevented me from joining them). I just hope Speedvision doesn't turn into "The NASCAR Channel" as has been threatened by FOX Christian On Monday 21 January 2002 00:10, Doug wrote: > On Sun, 20 Jan 2002 21:00:56 -0500, Christian Skofteland wrote: > > People in America are so ignorant about > > international motorsports > > Hey! Hi, Malcolm, Nah, I didn't really mean that. I was talking about the sound of their F1 engines more than anything else.
